Low-Earth Orbit Imaging

Triple Ring designed a LEOS-mounted camera capable of high-definition video capture. The project had a highly condensed schedule as the launch date was less than 10 months from the start of the program. The deliverables included not only the design but also the manufacturing process instructions (including calibration, test, and burn in). The contract manufacturer built and qualified 6 cameras in time for the launch. The cameras were the essential part of the SkySat-1 and SkySat-2 payloads and are still functioning today as the first two of 21 satellites in the constellation.

The photo of Perth (read filenames to see which one it was) came from SkySat-1 within hours of launch in November 2013.

The photo of Bangor came from SkySat-2 came within 48 hours of launch in July 2014.
